, SATURDAY’S LOCAL GAMES. VISITING NAPIER TEAMS. Senior and third grade teams representing the Napier Techn'ipal Old Boys Club will meet local Old Boys Club teams at the Oval on Saturday. The Napier seniors will comprise: Backs. G. Brown, J. Walls,' I Venables, J. McKenzie, R.. Peterson, A. Knuter and C. .Riddell ; forwards, D. Hutton, B. Lopdell, R. Boyle, J. Guillmoht, A. Bowman, IV- Campbell C. Campbell, and Cb Cushing. Reserves will be J. Dallimoro and T. Prehblo. To meet the above team, the Gi-s----borne Old Boys’ Club will select 15 of the following:—Forwards, Tier, Wright, Thomas, Harrison, Fraser, McPhail (2), Campbell, Scholium, Dodds, Spence and Shanks; hacks, Littler, Dovi, Clarke, Solomon, Gardner, Alartin, Collin, Henderson and Owen. THE NEW ALL BLACKS. GROUP AREA “TRIALS’’ (Press Association). WELLINGTON. April 17. Arrangements for tho group area trial matches to select a team to tour Britain this year were further advanced by tho management- committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night. Each union will appoint a selector and in the event of a- dispute regarding representation, the New Zealand management committee will decide upon an independent member. The New Zealand selection committee will adjudicate upon any deadlock concerning the selection ot players. Replying to a Taranaki protest agaihst tho last three trial matches being played so close together, the chairman (Mr. Dean) said that those taking part in these games would not have to play in more than one or two.
