Taking a length load at 200 yards they 7 wore never troubled! thereafter. They led by two lengths at one mile where both wore stroking 34, and maintained a two length lead at two miles, whore they met a head wine and choppy water. In the river bend Cambridge were rowing well, stroking 30. They led by four lengths of two and a half miles, -where Oxford was laboring badly and stroking 28. Cambridge won comfortably by four pnj a half lengths in 19 minutes oS seconds.
