'‘PENGUIN POOL MURDER-”
It is not often that a murder mystery is given a genuinely humorous twist, but “Tho Penguin Pool Murder, which concludes to-day at the Majestic, has the advantage of many unusual aspects. For instance, the appearance of Edna May Oliver in the Him is alone an indication that there must be something decidedly refreshing about the comedy. It is a murder mystery of iir.st-class inteiest. In the .midst of the turmoil following such a sensation, there appear two extremely diverting people --Edna May Oliver, as a school mistress ’with a hair for investigation, -and, James Gleason, as an inspector of detectives. Miss Oliver am.' Ml. Gleason become associated in a somewhat eccentric inquiry into tho murder.’Everybody' is suspected, at first, from tho curator of the aquuiiuin, the man who assaulted the stockbroker, and tii'e stockbroker’s wile. Eventually the .wife is brought to •trial, ami it- is not until tho Court proceedings are well advanced that Edna "’May; Oliver hits upon a solution of the crime, and points to the niurdorer. Thero i s an interesting supporting programme, including a Patho News, a Grant land Rte° ‘Sportlighb,’ - a cartoon,' a Paramount Nlows and •a; comedy. To-morrow a double feature programme •' will be screened: - -‘70,000 Witnesses,’ and “The Vanishing’ Frontier;”
