Two races w<‘ii* rowed oil' on Saturday in connection with llic President's Fours. In the -first nice llanna (str.), Morrison, Woalliorlcy, and Watt met L. Snowsill (str.), Knox, S. Alton and Some rv ill e. Both crews won I away together at tlie start and there was very little diilerenec between them over most of the course. Between the fontbridge! and Derby street, Snowsill had a small lead but at Derby street Hanna drew level again and after a hard finish managed to win by a length. in the second race S. Brown (str.), Scott. Do Costa and 1 Hodges met P. il'romm (str.), Coates, Potts, and l.oslie. Brown got away smartJy at tin' start and very soon '.there iva« clear water between the boats. Although Fromm challenged strongly he could not make up the leeway. Brown passing the post a .length and a-Jiaif in front.
