WASHINGTON, Oct. 25. Soineone wanted a photograph of the sea serpent supposed to have been seen along the coast. The Coast and Geodetic Survey, after exhausts ive research, replied that the bureau had no such photograph in its files and that the ships of-the Coast and' Geodetic Survey, which had been sailing along the east and west coasts of the United States for 113 years, had never reported seeing a sea serpent In effect, the opinion of the Government is that “there ain’t no such animal” as a sea serpent, or at least that he does not frequent the waters continguous to the United. States.
