BARD DID NOT DIE FROM DRINK LONDON, Jan. 2d. Sir James Crichton Brown, on the occasion of Robert Burns’ birthday, publishes a book denying that Burns died from the effects of drink, and stating that death v.us due to endocarditis, which alcohol could not have produced, though it might have hastened it. Rheumatism was Burns’ undoing and damaged his heart, embittering his life and shortening his career.—Sun cable.
