A Berlin correspondent says-: “One of the political objects of the new German Government will be an assault on the Dawes plan.” He quotes the Taglische Rundschau, which usually reflects Dr Stresemann’s view, as declaring the Dawes plan “is proving impossible of fulfilment unless Germany is to sink to misery. Our Government must try to have the Dawes plan altered, and in this connection must be supported by the united front of ail parties in older that a conference may lie summoned at the earliest date possible.” The paper adds: “This conference must examine a new Germany’s actual possible paying capacity, and it must result in an alteration of conditions which were accepted under the pressure of necessity.—The Times DISARMAMENT 7 conference.
