ILLEGAL SALE OF LIQUOR
NAPIER HOTEL KEEPER. CONVICTED. NAPIER, Jan. 25. The Magistrate gave his reserved judgment in the Police Court in ai case in which the licensee of the Caledonian Hotel was charged with allowing liquor, though purchased before closing hours, to be consumed on the premises after hours. The alleged offence took place when the Napier Law Society held its annual dinner on the premises. His Worship held that the licensee was responsible for-a-breach of. the Act.
