CITY SHOPS BURGLED
INTRUDERS APPARENTLY DISTURBED. i ONLY A SMALL HAUL. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 25. Two city second-hand shops were entered by burglars on Saturday night. From the shop of J. H. Baker, Manchester street, nothing is missing but it’is believed the intruders were disturbed. In the other shop, that of J. Madden,. Manchester street, they secured a small haul. Entry was secured in both cases through the rear windows.—P.A.
