WANDERED AWAY
BABY FOUND DROWNED IN POND.
PALMERSTON N., Jan. 25. The nineteen-months-old child of Mrs Brown, housekeeper for Mrs and Mr G. Lyne, Awapuni, was found jdirowned in a fountain pond on a nearby property on Saturday afternoon. The child had wandered away. A search revealed the body face downward in 14 inches of water.—P.A.
