CRIMINAL SESSIONS
WELLINGTON, July 29. At the Supreme Court, G. A. Jenness, jeweller, was acquitted on two charges of theft of a diamond pendant, and was convicted of obstructing the course of justice, with a strong recommendation to leniency, on the ground that accused had not acted with the intention of benefitting himself. Sentence was deferred. Cy-ril Y’agstaff pleaded guilty- to a charge of indecent assault, and was remanded for sentence.-—P.A.
