PARENTS SHOT BY SON.
INSURANCE POLICY MOTIVE FOR DOUBLE MURDER,
The/ St. Petersburg (Florida) police are not inclined to accept the plea oi insanity in tho case of the youth named AlcDowell, who confessed that lie had shot his parents, saying that “anti-Christ became dominant, and tempted him.” " Tho police are of opinion that the real motive of the crime was the collection of a 10,000 dollar (normally £2,000 in English money) double insurance policy, which they say he underwrote when acting as an insurance agent months ago. Regarding Ale Dowell’s confession that lie had also caused the death_ oi his two sisters a year ago by setring fire to the bed in which they were sleeping, Fr.e polico i: dw think that lie had nothing to clo with their death, ancl merely" assumed this pretended crime in order to support liis insanity plea, * ,'
