The Archbishop of Canterbury, presiding at a Convocation of Canterbury where the ministry of healing was debated, said they ought to- remove the which was irfi considerable vogue that the ministry of healing was adverse to the normal ministrations of medical men. The use of oil, especially in tho Bishop's Benediction, was fraught with danger that might result in usages which would change the attitude of many half-informed people who.were seeking cures for human ailments. The Church might mislead people if it under-rated the weight attaching to new branches of knowledge which were brought about by what seemed miraculous changes, hut really were brought about in the providence of God by other forces.
