CABINET LAYS DOWN CONSTRUCTION POLICY.

TWO YEARS’ EXPERIMENT SUGGESTED.

LONDON, May 7. It is learned that the Cabinet Committee on Airships approves of their construction, and probably will recommend the Government to hear all expenses of establishing a scheme over an experimental period of two years. Thereafter it is likely there will he placed at the disposal of private companies the whole of the data relating to the results achieved, it is pointed out that the fate of the Burney scheme is still in the balance, p, is not improbable that a majority of the Commons, in view of the fact that four committees hitherto have favored it will support the adoption of the Burney proposals.—A. and N.Z.O.A.
