A young Danish natator, Aliss Emelia Gade, 22 years, old, swam completely around Manhattan Island, New York, on .Tune, 2G. a distance of about 40 miles, in 15 hours 57 minutes. It is said that Aliss Gade, who is a swimming instructress at the Harlem branch of the ALAV.C.A., is the second woman ever to accomplish this feat.
