DEMONSTRATIVE WELCOME. HUNDREDS GO ON THEIR KNEES. (Received August 10, 11.45 p.m.) • • SYDNEY, August 10. Archbishop Man nix has returned and was accorded a big demonstrative welcome, including’ a much befiagged procession of Catholic societies and returned Irish soldiers. After Dr. Mannix left the cathedral, where he was officially welcomed, he was mobbed by an immense crowd, hundreds going on their knees before him. —U.P.A.
