HAWKE’S BAY LAND BOARD.

The quarterly meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board was hold in the local Lands and Survey Office, yesterday, there being present: Mr W. ]•’. Marsh (Commissioner of Crown Lands) in the chair, and Messrs L. McKay and A. J. Cameron.
Mr Cameron referred, in complimentary terms, to the recent reappointment lo the Board of Mr McKay, who briefly responded. I'Vfteen applications from discharged soldiers for advances for the purchase of farming and town properties were dealt with by the Board.
The following transfers and sub leases were approved:—
Section 31/1, Turanganui. 50a 3r 36p. J. ,T. Candy to IT. Mac Kay; 5/VIII YVaiinarie, 52 acres, G. E. Jones to J. S. Allen; 26/1. Turanganui. 44a 2r 27p, J. V. Smith.
