RUGBY FOOTBALL.
KAITI CLUB. The annual meeting of the KaitiCity Football Club was held last evening in the Royal Hotel, and a large number of enthusiastic memwere present. Mr. Venables, of Napier, occupied the chair. Officers were elected as follows : President, Mr. A. H. Steele; vicepresident, Mr. D. J. Barry; club captain, Mr. J. ,J. Martin; club coaches. Mr. J. OXeill and Mr.’ Wi Friday; captain, Mr. R. Muldoon; vice-captain, Mr. J. Fitzmatrrice; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Vulgar; committee, Messrs R. Muldoon, J. Fitzmaurice, L. O’Neill, J. Henley and S. Wildish. It was resolved to issue an invitation to the Pirates Football Club, Napier, to play a senior match at Gisborne on Easter Saturday at the Reserve. On behalf of the Pirates Club Mr. Venables accepted the invitation.
It was resolved to start training on the reserve at 5.30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday, and all members of the club who desire inclusion in the teaiu must attend. Arrangements for the Easter Monday match were left in the hands "of the committee, and the meeting was brought to a conclusion with a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Venables for presiding, and in no small measure adding to the success of the annual meeting.
