'iiie Chicago Tribune’s Paris correspondent says it is believed that -Japan is aggrieved because of the probable loss of Kiaochau and the failure of her initial effort to secure freedom of Japanese emigration to Llie United States. Australia. Canada and Britain support President IVilson against .japan on the question of immigration. The correspondent says that apparently Britain is finding the Japanese alliance irksome. Britain welcomes the League of Nations covenant ds an,abrogation of existing treaties and alliances allowing England to part company with .Japan amicably and strengthening the bonds of Empire. It is no secret that Australia has been regarding the Anglo-Japanese alliance with increasing anxiety, and England realises her Japanese alliance will hamper the establishment of closer relations with the United States.
