HOMEWARD CARGO RATES.
AN ALL-ROUND INCREASE.
(Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 3. Shipping companies engaged in cargo services between New Zealand and England have increased the'rates on all homeward-bound cargo as from the 2nd instant. The wool freight has been raised one-eighth of a penny per lb and other classes increased about 15 per cent. The new rates include war surcharge rates for wool, which are now: Dumped greasy lfd per lb, slipe lid, washed If eg with the usual id extra for ' undumped wool. Despite the increases the New Zealand rates are still lower than those of Australia. Passenger rates remain unchanged.
