COMPETITION EXCEPTIONALLY KEEN. PRICES DEARER ALL ROUND. (Press Association Telegram.) DUNEDIN, Feb. 3. The second wool sale of the season commenced to-day. The total offerings were 24,777 bales, as compared with 23,618 bales at the corresponding sale last year. The buyers’ benches were well filled and competition was exceptionally keen for practically every' lot offered, except, earthy and very vasty wools. It is expected that all overseas wool purchased at this sale will be got away before the end i f next month. Buyers have decid. ! to postpone the northern sale till t! y can see shipping space available f ;• all purchases in Dunedin.
