WAIROA, Feb. 10

At the Magistrate’s Court this morning, before Mr. Barton, S.M., there were ten cases of breaches of the licensing law unconnected with licensees. Exemplary fines were imposed in all eases heard. There are two yet to bo heard. One native, lor obscene language. was fined £3, or 14 days’ imprisonment. A native man and his daughter, for theft of a purse at Wa iroa races, were fined £3 each. Turei Rarere, for stealing wool, was sentenced to six months’ hard labor. There were 23 civil cases and 13 judgment summonses heard.
