AlacAlalion arrived in town yesterday to complete tho necessary preliminary arrangements for tho advent to Gisborne on Saturday evening next of the Alessrs MacAlalion’s theatrical enterprise, viz., tho pictorial representation of Rolf Boldrewood’s famous Australian story, “Robbery Under Arms.” Tlie present tour of the Dominion is said to bo proving ail extraordinary success. Thus a contemporary of this fascinating exhibition:—“To miss seeing the AlacAlalion pictures is to miss the finest opportunity in this kind that New Zealanders have had so far. Tho new French pictures, specially selected in Paris for this entertainment, are unquestionably the finest ever seen in Australasia. And in addition to these and, even of greater interest, there is tho original and moving series illustrative of Rolf Boldrewood’s great novel of ‘Robbery Under Arms.’ It is of all the books on bushranging the cleanest and the wholesomest; of all books dealing with Australian pastoral life, tho sanest and the sweetest. And, once again, the pictures are the book.” The box plan.will bo opened to-day at Aliller’s.
