A NATIVE SUICIDES.
SHOOTS HIAISELF AVHILE ON BAIL. Press Association. NAPIER, Feb. IS. The police have been advised that a native named Ivini Hutana was found at AVoodville last evening shot through the breast, with a gun beside him, the circumstances suggesting suicide. Hutana was out on bail on a charge of petty theft, and was also suspected of a further theft. Deceased was interviewed by a constable at Porangahau on Thursday last, and after the interview lie stole the constable’s horse and got away. The rifle with which the deed was committed is also supposed to have been stolen.
