A burglar shot Charles Spoil-, a leading member of the Standard Oil Company, through tbe heait, at his bouso at Staten Island, in tbe preeenoe of his wife. Burglars blew open Joseph Leiter’a safe at Chicago, and stole twenty thousand pounds sterling worth of bonds.
