A Women’s Quarrel
By Telegraph—Press Association
Dunedin, last night.
Further particulars of the shooting affairs, reported yesterday, reveal the fact that Airs l'earee quarrelled with Mrs Kennick, and the latter's mother not being able to eject Mrs Rennick she took down a sixchambered revolver, which she obtained during the burglar scare, and fired one chamber. The bullet struck Mrs Rennick in the face, emerging near the angle of the jaw. A neighbor named llussell rushed in, disarmed Mrs Pearce, and removed Rennick to the hospital. Mrs l’earee also threw scalding water over Mrs Kennick's mother, who did not actively participate in the quarrel. Mrs Rennick is not severely injured, but her mother is considerably scalded about the face. When arrested, Mrs Pearce, who was quite cool, said : “ I’m not going to be skull-dragged by these women. I would serve the same to anyone else who interfered.”
