Women’s Franchise.

In the Legislative Council a warm debate occurred on the Women’s Franchise Bill. Mr Want carried an amendment by 19 to 16, eliminating the clause preventing women sitting in Parliament, after Mr Suttor, the Government representative, had announced that if the Council decided the clause should be eliminated the Government would still stick to tho Bill.
