[By Telegraph Press Association.] Wellington, last night. The House resumed at 7.30. The Chinese Immigrants Act Amendment Bill passed through Committee without material amendment, and was subsequently put through its final stages. The Cyanide Process Extension Bill, Public Health Amendment Bill, and Accidents Compensation Bill was further considered in Committee. Mr Pirani's proposal to take a referendum by post was negatived on the voices. Several amendments wore made iu the Bill, but none of them were of vital consequence. O - the motion of Mr Seddon. the Yvport .non of Arms 2:11. to amend the law reu"l.'. 0 io the exportation of arms, was res.; a second time. Mr McGowan moved the second reading of the District Courts Act Amendment Bill, which extends the jurisdiction of district courts in certain eases. Captain Russell moved a hostile amendment that the Bill be read a second time that- day six months. The debate was not concluded when the House rose at 10.30.
