At a meeting of the Committee of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club, held to-day, it was resolved to recommend to the Bacing Conference certain alterations to the rules of racing with respect to the minimum distance for hurdle races, the declaration of overweight, etc., and the disqualification of apprentices for breach of agreement, etc. Capt. Bussell and the Hon. J. D. Ormond Were appointed representatives at the ensuing Conference. '
