Milner, on his return from South Africa, was given a tremendous reception on his arrival at the Southampton and the. Waterloo stations. Ho was escorted to Marlborough Honso by Lord Salisbury and Mr Chamberlain, where lie was received by His Majesty King Edward VII. His Majosty, in the course of a brief interview, conferred a Peerage on Sir A. Milner.
