[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, Blay 7. The San Francisco mail agent reports that until further notice tho mail steamers will loavo San Francisco at 10 o’clock on Thursday morning, instead of Wednesday evening. Tho reason givon for the cliango is that tho steamers ran a great risk in leaving San Francisco at night. The duto of arrival at Auckland inis not been altered, but in future the steamers will probably arrive at Auckland on Monday afternoon, instead of in the morning. On tho 3rd inst. the piston of one of tho lowpressure cylinders of the Ventura broke, and the vessel has been run with both engines compound since.
