TILE NEW REGULATIONS. [By Telegraph -Cross Association.] Wellington, lust night. The regulations under the Slaughtering and Inspection Act will appear in the Gazette. They provide for the registration and licensing ol all slaughtcr-housos, and that for the purposes ei licensing the colony is to ho divided into nine districts. .Existing licenses are to continue in force until the iJOLIi June next, but the local authority concerned must before issuing any licenses transmit the application for the approval of the Minister for Agriculture. Brands are to be affixed to every carcase, whether intended for local consumption or export, and tinned meat must also he stamped. The fee for registration of an abattoir is .Co, and for license an annual fee of .Ct. Inspection fees for live stock and meat at a slaughter-house arc fixed at -Id for every head of cattle and -I \ l l for every twelve or fraction of twelve calves, sheep, or pigs. Where the total amount of inspection fees paid in twelve months does not amount to .£2OO, that sum is required to be made up with the Last payment.
