A RICH CLAIM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Invercargill, last night. Sixty ounces of shott.y rolled gold, the heaviest being a picco 9 dwts, the result of a fortnight’s work, came down from tho Arrow Falls Company’s claim to-day. This is a claim in which much money was fruitlessly spent by others for years past. The present holders aro getting through the difficult part of the working. RATEPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of citizens to-night it was resolved to form a Ratepayers’ Association. . —- NEW DREDGE. Tho Lady Charlton dredgo had a preliminary run to-day, and worked satisfactorily. HARVESTING. The spell of fine weather is giving air opportunity to wind up harvesting.
