THE MAINTENANCE OF GOOD GOVERNMENT.

The Senate's Foreign Relations’ Committee have agreed to the amendment in tho Army Bill authorising President McKinley to hand Cuba to the Cubans as soon as government is established under a constitution defining the relations with the United States, and recognising America's right to intervene in the preservation of Cuba’s independence and the maintenance of good government.
