OPOTIKI ACCOUNTANT’S BODY FOUND AT FOOT OF STEEP CLIFF

(P.A.) OFOTIKI, July 26. The body of Mr. William J. Andrews, accountant, of Opotiki, was found at the foot of a steep cliff below the highest point of Maraenui Hill yesterday. His wrecked car was nearby. Mr. Andrews, who was married with three children, disappeared about a month ago. The police have been carrying out a widespread search. He was a prominent resident, a member of the Opotiki Borough Council and secretary of the Caledonian Society.

The body has not yet been recovered and the police will make an effort today to reach it.
