GRADE JERSEY HERD SOLD AT PATUTAHI

The grade Jersey herd of Mr. L. C. Wagner, Patutahi, was offered yesterday before a gathering of farmers from widely scattered districts. His complete dispersal sale was conducted by Messrs. Common, Shelton, and Company, Limited. Tiie average fur 25 spring cows was £2O 13s Gd, three cows in milk made from £l4 to £2O. and two two-year-old heifers £ls and £IG. Six rising yearling heifers sold at £lO 17s Gd each and three smaller heifers at £8 10s. There were some pedigree and grade sows and smaller pigs in the entry. All pigs in the catalogue met with a satisfactory sale.
