“BOOKIE” FINED £3OO AND LANDLORD £3O IN MANAWATU COURT

PALMERSTON N.. July 25.

Leonard William Cowling was fined £3OO on a charge of bookmaking by Mr. J. R. Herd. S.M., at Palmerston North. Tiie accused was warned to expect imprisonment if caught again. Pcreival Robert Milverton was fined £3O for renting a room and telephone to a bookmaker.
