TWO MEN MAKE ESCAPE FROM PRISON CAMP

TE AWAMUTU. July 24

Two prisoners escaped from the Waikeria orison- camp shortly before noon yesterday. They were Kay Pecni, a Maori. a"ed 23. and George Richard Tohu. aged 21. Parties of police and warders arc searching the district. Pecni is sft. 4in. in height, with black hair. 1-Ie was dressed in blue denim trousers, a grey prison coat 'and a mili-tary-type greatcoat dyed blue. Toliu. who was dressed in similar clothing, is sft. Gjin. in height and has a copper complexion.
