CRASH OF WINDOW INTERRUPTS OTAGO AFTERNOON TEA PARTY

(P.A.)

DUNEDIN, July 24

A gustv westerly tnav blew ir. Dunedin on Saturday afternoon was an ill wind for some people. Foi the average person in the city area the wind was merely rather a nuisance, but for Mr. W S C Saunders of Larnach Road, Waverley, it was much more than that.

The Saunaers family and visitors were sitting at afternoon tea when a particularly strong gust blew in two large plate-glass windows in the room they were using, cutting one child on a leg and spreading glass over the room. It was necesary to abandon the afternoon tea already poured owing to the danger of glass splinters.
