OFFICIAL OPENING OF PARK CLUB
More than 100 golfers turned out for the opening of the season of the Gisborne Park Golf Club on Saturday. A mixed Canadian foursome was played under ideal conditions. The scores returned indicated that the greens and general conditions were very favourable.
Tlie. card of Davys and Miss Cooke, recording a very good net 63, topped those for the mixed foursome. Others were: —D Hamilton and Mrs. Robb, net 65; R. U. Waterson and Mrs. Waterson, 66; Nicholson■ and Mrs. Bradley,’ 67: R. Horival and Mrs. Herivnl, 67: McLean and Mrs. Pore, 69: ,T. Crawford-Smith and Mrs. Crawford-Smith, 70: T. W. Bnyliss. sen. and Mrs. IT. Nicol, 70; L. Gavin and Miss Gordon, 70. The best medal round was that of A. Gee. 64 net. followed by T. Ward, 66 net.
Competitions are being arranged for members and visitors over-the Easter holidays, .when the April Tanlcard competition will be in progress.
