INCREASED DEMAND FOR STORE LAMBS AT MORRINSVILLE
An average yarding of store lambs at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday met with a better inquiry than the previous week and prices were slightly better. Recent values were well maintained tor fat sheep. There was a heavy yarding of fat and boner cows. The demand was steady, with fat cows remaining firm. Boner and store cows were inclined to ease slightly. Prices:—
Sheep.—Fat woolly wethers, 57s to Gls Gd: fat vvoollv hoggets, 55s to 595; fat shorn hoggets, 45s to 50s 3d; light shorn hoggets. 42s to 445; heavy fat lambs 45s to 50s; medium 48s to 525; light 32s to 355; good black face store lambs. 22s to 23s lOd; aver age. IDs to 21s; small, 1G to 18s; average white face store lambs, 21s to 22s 9d: small. 16s to 19s; G-year Romney ewes, r.w Southdown rams, 30s.
Cattle.—Fat young Jersey cows and heifers, £lO 10s to £11; heavy boner cows. £8 to £lO 15s; medium, £G to £7 10s; store Jersey cows, £4 15s to £5 15s: bulls. £ll 5s to £l7 10s; yearling Jersey heifers. £0 10s to £7 13,
