FIRST NEW YEAR SHOOT: GISBORNE RIFLE CLUB SCORES

Members of the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club held their first shoot of the new year on Saturday at the Sponge Bay range, with practices at 200yds. and 300yds.

Although there was only a small attendance, the shoot was highly satisfactory from the point of view of scoring, F. J. Jcune returning a possible at 200yds. and following it with a 49 —one short of the possible—at 300yds., to win the competition. Second place was taken by P. Ross, with a gross aggregate of 96, and C. Latta, with a similar gross score, filled third place. Detailed scores:—
