REMAND OF CHERTSEY MURDER CHARGE
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 4. Samuel Arthur Protheroe, farmer, aged 41, who was charged in the Magistrate’s Court this morning with the murder of Brian O’Connor at Chertsey on March 18 and with assaulting O'Connor so as to cause actual bodily harm was remanded to appear at Ashburton on April 28 on each charge. When applying for the remand, Mr. A W. Brown,-ifor the Crown, said that on April 28 the case would be proceeded with and evidence taken.
