WAIHIRERE NEWS

An enjoyable social was held in the Waihirere Hall last Friday in aid of the Ruangarehu and Waihirere tennis teams. Music was supplied by the Waihirere band, and a solo was sung by Mr. Ratapu. A committee, including Mesdames R. Brown, C. Morris, C. Kingi, and Krause, served supper. Tennis Games A friendly tennis match was played at the Waihirere Pa at the week-end. Players from Manutuke were welcomed by Mr. K. Taihuka and Mrs. Wawatai, and Mr. H. Maynard replied. Lunch, afternoon tea, and supper were provided lor the guests.
