GROUPS TO CONSIDER PLANS TO RELIEVE TEACHER SHORTAGE

(P.A.I WELLINGTON. April 5. Representatives of various groups concerned in teacher training will assemble in Wellington for a one-day conference next Tuesday. In announcing this the Minister of Education, Mr. T. H. McCombs, said the sole business of the conference would be to consider measures for obtaining more teachers for primary service and certain proposals to be placed before it. “We have to face realistically the present shortage of teachers,” said the Minister, “and I am sure the conference will produce a plan adequate t’o meet the present difficulty.”
