GREEK REBELS SUFFER HEAVY CASUALTIES

(10.45 a.m.) ATHENS, March 6. Government forces which have pinned down a guerrilla formation in the Kerdyllion Mountains, about 40 miles north-east of Salonika, have killed 140 and captured 149 of the rebels.

In Peloponnesus another guerrilla band has been completely wiped out. Sixty-three rebels were killed, 46 captured and 21 surrendered.
