Chile Plans Third Base In Antarctic
(9 a.m.) SANTIAGO. Sept. 30 Chile announced yesterday she would establish a third base in the Antarctic. The first was established on Greenwich Island in 1947, and the second on Grahamland last February. President Gonzalez said that the new base, which would be in the interior and used as a weather station, wtfs designed to “maintain our fights and sovereignly in that region.”
