Approve Compulsory Military Training

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Aug. 31. A report from its representatives on the joint defence action committee and the committee’s action in urging the Government during the past year to reestablish compulsory military training were approved at the concluding session of the annual conference of the New Zealand Homeservicemen’s Association.

Messrs. R. P. Levien, R. A. Stedman, L. Holden, Mirams and E. M. Stace were re-elected members of the defence action committee. Mr. L. D. Walters and Mr. J. A. Fergusson were elected president and vicepresident respectively of the association.
