SPANISH LEADER CONFERS WITH PRETENDER
(10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 27. General Franco had a three-hour talk with the Spanish Pretender, Don Juan, on August 25 on General Franco’s yacht, says Reuter’s correspondent at San Sebastian.
Government, diplomatic and the world's monarchist circles attach the greatest importance to the meeting which is their first. Political sources consider that the meeting means a coup de grace to Senor Indalecio Prieto, the exiled Spanish Socialist lender. who has been trying to bring about a coalition of Monarchists. Republicans and Socialists against General Franco.
