LONDON, June. 13. Viscount Addison, in a broadcast in a political series, compared the three years after the end of the first war was the three years after 1945. He said there were _ about 300,000 registered unemployed in April, 1948, whereas in November, 1921, there were 1,792,000 unemployed and an additional 252.000 on short time. Britain’s industrial production three years after the end o fthe first war was only a little over half of that in 1913. It was at a substantially higher level at the present time than it was in 1938.
